Title: Need for Speed Most Wanted

Description:
The first, and most brutally obvious difference to previous games is that EA has decided to crank up the importance of the storyline (previously presented badly, and in comic book style) and go completely old-school on us by doing it all with video. Yes, the return of the mighty FMV cut-scene is upon us. It is, however, presented in a very interesting style that\'s reminiscent of the movie Sky Captain. The actors appear with a mix of real objects and CG, and a super-saturated lighting effect is applied, along with a subtle blur that makes everything look not-quite-real, and not-quite-rendered. It\'s a unique effect, but somewhat spoiled by the clichι-drenched revenge-driven plot, the awful dialog, and the mostly terrible acting that it delivers. Josie Maran does a pretty good job as your tube-top-wearing sass-pot of a racing buddy, but the bad guys are just embarrassing. \"First I\'m going to take your ride, then I\'m going to take your girl.\" Yes, yes. Whatever.

The game opens, as all street-racing games seem to, with a taste of the good life. You have a badass whip that can smoke anything, a hot chick wiggling her tush at you, and the well-deserved envy of every other driver. Then you lose everything when some punk called Razor (of course his name is Razor, no one on the street racing scene is called Bob or Frank) challenges you to a race for pink slips, and gets his buddies to sabotage your fuel line before the start. You choke, get picked up by the cops, and Razor nabs your tricked-out M3. By the time you get out of jail, the bastard has used your car to work his way to the top of the Blacklist 15, and is now the most notorious street racer in the city. This is where things start. You, of course, have no car and very little money, so you have to get yourself back in the game with a new car. The goal is to earn cash, win races, and work your way up the Blacklist so you can challenge Razor, exact your revenge, and win back your car.
